This completed project is now owned and operated by MassDOT Highway Division which provided oversight to the project during construction. Members of the design/build project team included: SPS New England was the prime contractor for this project and provided leadership to the rest of the design/build team. SPS New England is one of the foremost bridge and highway building firms operating in Massachusetts and is known for its high quality, efficient workmanship. They were responsible for project management, bridge construction, estimating, safety, bonding and execution of all construction and field work. TranSystems was the lead engineering and design firm for the project and was responsible for the overall design and development of all plans associated with the project. TranSystems design work will touched many aspects of the project including roadway geometry, bridge design, traffic engineering, structure design, storm water management and utilities. DW White based in Achushnet, Massachusetts, was responsible for much of the project’s construction including earthwork, utilities, MSE (Mechanically Stabilized Earth) walls and other retaining walls Epsilon Associates, Inc. provided archaeological support to this project and was responsible for protection of the archaeological and historical resources within the project area. As the project advanced, Epsilon assisted the project team in their contacts with the Wampanoag of Aquinnah and Mashpee Tribes Nobis Engineering provided geotechnical services to the project team Green International Affiliates, Inc. provided general engineering support to the project. ATC Associates, Inc. provided testing and inspectional services with regard to the materials use in the project. Howard/Stein-Hudson Associates, Inc. provided public involvement support to the project team. HSH assisted in reaching out to the community, ensured that members of the public gained a clear understanding of the project through both traditional and web-based avenues of communication and documented the project's public outreach process. |
